We are looking for a Head of Biogas to lead the development and expansion strategy of the company in the biogas sector in Spain. This position will play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and executing biogas projects, ensuring their technical, financial, and regulatory viability.

The selected candidate will lead the greenfield development of biogas and biomethane assets and will play a strategic role in positioning the company as a reference in renewable gas and circular economy solutions within the Iberian market.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director based in the UK, the main responsibilities will include:

• Defining and implementing the greenfield development strategy in the biogas sector in Spain.
• Identifying and securing viable locations and strategic opportunities for the development of new projects.
• Identifying and securing bankable feedstock and digestate arrangements. 
• Leading the permitting process, including obtaining licenses and landowner agreements.
• Ensuring the technical, financial, environmental, and regulatory feasibility of the projects.
• Managing the project pipeline from early-stage development to construction kick-off.
• Building and maintaining relationships with strategic partners, regulatory authorities, suppliers, and local communities.
• Overseeing due diligence processes, financial structuring, and ESG compliance.
• Build a broader development team and prepare the projects and team for entering into construction and operations.  
• Representing the company in sector associations, forums, and national and international events.
