Strategic Direction and Operations Management.
Plan, direct, and supervise all agro-industrial production activities. This includes coordinating field production, plant processing, packaging, and logistics / distribution, as well as knowledge of the necessary legislation. The role requires implementing operational strategies aimed at significantly increasing production volumes and product technical capabilities, as well as optimizing industrial assets by acquiring and retaining third-party processing (toll manufacturing) clients.
Financial, Budgetary, and Management Control.
Establish rigorous financial discipline by designing and implementing key tools such as medium and long-term Strategic Plans, management control audits, and zero-based budgeting (ZBB) methodologies. The position holds ultimate accountability for accounting, fixed and variable cost analysis, and product margin calculation. The executive must design and execute optimization strategies that achieve drastic, measurable reductions in raw material costs to secure international competitiveness.
Supply Chain, Logistics, and Trade (Domestic & International).
Direct the domestic and international commodity flow strategy, managing active commercial operations with multiple countries simultaneously. The role requires overseeing processing schedules, demand-driven inventory management to efficiently reduce stock levels. Additionally, it involves leading relationship management and contract negotiations with the network of farmers and the other suppliers in the production / processing value chain.
Manage active commercial operations and team with knowledge in commercial agriculture network in Andalusia. Ability to set up and manage commercial network in rest of Spain, with ability to follow appropriate strategies for commercial expansion in the country.
Occupational Health, Safety, and Legal Compliance.
Guarantee strict compliance with current legislation, internal quality guidelines, and occupational risk prevention regulations. The position is responsible for establishing a zero-accident corporate safety culture, ensuring the achievement of international health and safety excellence milestones across all managed processing plants and field operations.
Academic Background and Professional Track Record.
A master's or higher degree in BA, Agricultural Engineering or Agricultural Sciences is required, combined with a postgraduate degree in Business Administration (MBA or equivalent). Candidates must demonstrate a solid track record of 5 to 10 years in executive management, general management, or operations management roles with full P&L accountability within the agricultural biotechnology sector.
Professional Skills & Competencies Profile.
The ideal candidate is an agricultural expert with strong business leadership, strategic five-year vision, and deep mastery of agricultural management control, analytical accounting, and zero-based budgeting. The role requires proven expertise in the agriculture value chain, trade regulations, phytosanitary legislation, and complex technology projects like ERPs, alongside desynchronized industrial asset operations. The executive must possess advanced negotiation and interpersonal skills in both Spanish and English, enabling them to optimize processes, enforce corporate safety cultures, and effectively influence boards, key accounts, and international partners
