We’re looking for a General Manager (GM) with a strong commercial mindset to launch and lead our client's expansion in Spain.

This is a full country-launch challenge: you’ll build the entire operation from the ground up – from early sales, to assembling the local team, to shaping the offering for the Spanish market.

The GM will report directly to the CEO, own the Spanish P&L, and act as the main driver of the company's success and growth in the market.


Responsibilities:

-Strategy & P&L Ownership

  • Define the company's entry, growth, and positioning strategy in the Spanish market across both the corporate and insurance business lines.
  • Own the P&L of the Spain business unit, ensuring revenue and profitability targets are met.

-Business Development & Sales (Hands-On)

  • Personally lead early-stage sales activities, building initial strategic partnerships and closing key deals across both direct and indirect channels.
  • Adapt the company's commercial model and offering to local needs.

-Team Building & Leadership

  • Hire, develop, and manage a cross-functional team (Sales, Operations, Medical, Marketing).
  • Foster the company's culture and act as a mentor to the Spanish team.

-Operations & Ecosystem Management

  • Oversee the execution, quality, and efficiency of all local operations.
  • Ensure smooth coordination across Sales, Operations, Medical, and Marketing functions.

Perfil buscado (H/M/D)

  • Launching / Scale-Up Experience: Background in fast-growing environments (MANDATORY), with the ability to build teams and operations from scratch, ideally in the B2B industry.
  • Strong Commercial Background: Experience in Sales, Business Development, or Commercial Leadership, ideally in B2B, healthcare, wellbeing, the employee benefits space, or the broker ecosystem.
  • Strategic Vision + Hands-On Execution: Able to define the country vision while driving day-to-day operations.
  • Leadership & People Management: Proven ability to build, inspire, and manage high-performing teams.
  • Fluent English.
  • Nice to Have: Knowledge of Italian.
  • Mindset: Flexible, resilient, results-driven, hands-on, and comfortable in fast-growth environments.
