Mission:
The Commercial Director for Green Hydrogen will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s strategic growth in the renewable hydrogen market. The mission is to accelerate the transition from grey to green hydrogen by developing and executing innovative commercial strategies, fostering strong partnerships, and promoting sustainable solutions that contribute to global decarbonization goals. This leader will position the company as a key player in the hydrogen sector, aligning business objectives with the company’s commitment to a sustainable future.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the commercial strategy for green hydrogen and its derivatives, promoting sustainable solutions in industries currently using grey hydrogen.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key clients in sectors reliant on industrial gases.
- Establish and manage a specialized sales team, setting clear commercial objectives and ensuring their achievement.
- Negotiate strategic contracts with major clients and secure agreements that expand company green hydrogen project portfolio.
- Collaborate closely with the project development team to align customer needs with Company technical and commercial offerings.
- Represent the company at industry forums and events, positioning the company as a leader in green hydrogen solutions.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with local partners, contractors, advisors, institutions, offtakers, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships to support business growth.
Skills required:
- Ms/Bs University Degree in Industrial or Chemical Engineering.
- 10-15 years of experience, with the last 5 years in equivalent positions (business development, commercial roles within the industrial gases sector, with a focus on hydrogen or related products). Preferably seeking a professional from the Natural gas, Energy, Oil & Gas-Petrochemical sector, chemical Industry.
- Deep understanding of the hydrogen market, particularly industries currently using grey hydrogen (refineries, chemicals, metallurgy, transportation, etc.).
- Established network and proven access to decision-makers in key purchasing organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement successful commercial strategies in complex, competitive environments.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Educational background in engineering, chemistry, or related fields; postgraduate studies in management or business are a plus.
